As a visiting artist in schools,
Kimberli integrates the basic elements and principles
of dance with other core curriculum in order to enhance
the study of science, mathematics, language arts, social
studies and more for grades Pre k – 12 and beyond.
Kimberli’s
approach to movement with students addresses many items
enumerated by the National Standards for Education
and No Child Left Behind, such as making connections
between dance and other disciplines, applying and demonstrating
critical and creative thinking skills and understanding
dance as a way to create and communicate meaning.
